Information, Communication & Digital Technologies

Information, Communication and Digital Technologies (ICT) are an integral part of students’ daily programs. We aim to empower students through the provision of technologies that allow them to be independent, active participants in their learning. The school has an extensive range of technologies including interactive panels, digital cameras, video cameras, microphones and interactive whiteboards.

A large range of assistive devices are available to support students in their access to educational programs. These include switch-adapted mouse, alternate keyboards such as Big Keys, Intelli Keys and Mini Keys, track balls, touch screens, switch interface boxes and a wide range of switches.

Learning programs are well supported by a wide range of educational and specialised software – including Learning Two Step Scanning, Writing with Symbols, Boardmaker, SwitchIt! Maker, and ChooseIt! Maker. Students learning experiences are also enhance by accessing a wide range of online learning resources and activities.
