Mathematics

Nepean implements Mathematics programs across the Primary and Secondary departments. Students are developing confidence and enjoyment of mathematical activities through engaging and relevant programs.

Our Numeracy program is fundamental in developing students understanding of and experience with maths concepts, such as number, size, colour, shape, time, distance and location. We have a strong emphasis on developing real life skills that will support students to be as independent as possible. Staff use a number of strategies to engage students with numeracy learning, including hands on tasks, group activities, written tasks and verbal activities.
