Our nursing staff at Nepean includes one registered nurse who provides nursing care to our students each day. We aim to prevent illness and promote health within our school community whilst always maintaining the dignity and privacy of our students and their families.
Our registered nurse has extensive intensive care experience and is responsible for medical procedures and the administration of medication to our students on a regular basis and in emergency situations. Our goal is to keep students in the classroom, however we have a modern, well-equipped four bed sick bay to use if necessary.
Part of our role is to liaise with continence advisors and parents to ascertain the level of continence that our children can reach and with the family work towards that goal.
